LFDM was not only our favorite meal in Paris, but it was also the best thing we did in Paris!  We took my mother who is very finicky, and by closing time, she didn't want to leave.  She kissed checks with many staff this night!

From our exceptional waiter Antonio and the extraordinary classic dishes, to the vibrant and fun atmosphere...we can not recommend this restaurant enough.  The Michelin restaurants we dined in do not compare to the warmth and goodness of this renowned bistro.

The seared foie gras was not only the most tasty I have ever consumed, but it was also to my amazement the largest portion of its kind.  Beautiful sea bass, filet and leg of lamb as well.  The desserts were perfect as well.

Go here or miss out!  I would go back every time.

We wanted classic French cuisine. This is it!

It's a quick walk from most locations as it's rather central to the city. It's a cool old house, or so it seems that has been completely redone for a restaurant. They have a great area outside too. Or at least I'm assuming that was theirs as it was raining and dark when we went in.

We really needed reservations but decided to try our luck. They had one table open and seated us right away. We were upstairs in what seemed like an old bedroom maybe. Very charming little space.

We started with the most classic French apps we could find. Escargot and onion soup. Both were great and full of buttery flavor. The escargot was seasoned with an herb sauce. For entrees I did the duck confit and many at our table did the seasonal special of roasted chicken. No one was disappointed and the sauces for all the dishes were amazing. For dessert it was of course Creme brûlée and a lemon meringue pie.

Everything so good, so French! It was exactly what we wanted on our last night in Paris.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Paris, and I make sure to visit every time I'm in town. I recommend making a reservation by calling ahead of time, since this place is always full.

The first time I came here, I got the chicken and mushrooms and was blown away-the dish and flavors were perfect. The second time I came here, we ordered the duck confit, which was also tasty and delicious. I really enjoyed the fresh strawberries dessert, but would pass on the whipped goat cheese.

The atmosphere is always lively here, and the staff are friendly.

Looking forward to my next visit here!

Ok, I'm about to show off and post a review in Paris from my layover the other day......what a great dinner with my crew here! I embarrassed myself and practiced my tres pauvre French skills, but the server still appreciated it anyhow....practice makes perfect, n'est pas?

So I had the steak avec frites, which was pretty tasty. I was starving though, after wandering around the city all day, so I am pretty certain I would have loved anything on the menu. My crew all enjoyed their meals as well.  I especially appreciated that we walked up sans a reservation and they got us right in.  Cool outside table on a nice late summer night. I really couldn't have asked for anything better. C'est parfait!

Very slow service during lunch, took us over 30 min to get our bill (our waiter kept getting distracted and paid a lot more attention to people speaking French). Ordered the foie gras and steak tartare to split between two people (we had a huge breakfast before this so couldn't order anything else), and both were quite heavy. Foie gras was average - you can get this anywhere else not worth the 28 euros. Tartare is worth getting, big portion.

Also they charged us 7 euros for a bottle of water. Definitely on the pricier side.
